Approveit guide: How to create and approve requests?

1. Slack  ➠  Apps  ➠  Approveit  ➠  New approval request:

To create an approval request in Slack:

2. Select the workflow from the dropdown list:

3. For workflows requiring file attachments, you will be asked to switch to Approveit Web App.

Click ‘PROCEED’ and you will be redirected to the web app version and the needed approval request form will automatically open:

Fill the request in the web app and click ‘SEND REQUEST’:

4. For the workflows that do not require file-attachment, fill the request form directly in Slack and click ‘SUBMIT’ to send the request for approval:

Upon submission, you will receive a message in Slack from Approveit:

5. You can view the status of the request by clicking ‘VIEW REQUEST DETAILS’:

6.  Once your request gets approved, you will receive a message in Slack:

7. Requesters can cancel the request but it can be done only before the request gets approved. To conceal request:

Approveit in Slack -> Find the needed request -> View request details

1. Left sidebar  ➠  Approval Requests  ➠  New approval request:

3. Fill in the approval request form and click ‘SEND REQUEST’:

4. You can always view the status of your request by going to 'Approval Requests' and clicking on the request:

5. Once your request gets approved / rejected, you will receive a notification by email:

6. Requesters can cancel the request but it can be done only before the request gets approved. 

To cancel a request:

Left Side Bar -> Approval Requests -> Choose the request you want to cancel -> Cancel

To approve a request in Slack:

1. If you are using Slack, you will receive a message notifying you that a request is waiting for your approval. 

Click ‘VIEW REQUEST DETAILS’ to approve / reject request:

2. Now you can view the request details and 'APPROVE’ or ‘REJECT’ it:

To approve a request in Web App:

1. If you are using email as a method of communication, you will receive an email notifying you that request is waiting for your approval:

2. By clicking ‘APPROVE’ or ‘REJECT’, you will be redirected to the Web App where you can add a comment and view the updated status:
